About The Owner
Jeffrey Tuttle was raised outside of Boston, MA. He attended Merrimack College, pursuing a degree in economics. However, after a few years at Merrimack College, he decided to put his formal education on hold and travel.
He found himself settling on Maui and pursuing a career in the hospitality industry, working for Intercontinental Resorts and Sabu Corporation. It was during these times that he quickly understood the importance of building interpersonal relationships in business.
He was recruited by the Ritz-Carlton Hotels and relocated to Naples, FL. It was through this Ritz-Carlton management training, with its attention to detail and focus on exceeding client expectations, that these qualities were soon embedded in Jeffrey’s DNA.
While managing their nightclub facility, he was introduced to a gentleman who owned a wood moulding business. From there, the real story begins. While assisting the owner part-time with some office projects, he was called upon to assist in some of the field operations.
It was within this venue that he thrived, interacting with clients and bringing their dream visions of accent walls, crown moulding, and wainscoting to fruition. He left the Ritz-Carlton to begin this creative path.
In the early 2000s, he relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, and started the Crown Moulding Company. By 2017, he had developed the business into multiple offices (Tucson and Scottsdale) and was the number one residential installer in the state. His company’s work was featured in Phoenix Home and Garden multiple times.
However, the call of the ocean was forever present in his life, and he sold the business and relocated to Tampa, Florida. It's here, where he started the Crown Moulding and Decorative Trim Company, serving Tampa, Saint Petersburg, and South Shore.
When questioned about what he believes are the key elements to running a successful service company, two things, in his opinion, are key fundamentals. The first is building TRUST. Building trust with the client: as a company, you need to be reliable by keeping your word, meeting and exceeding expectations, and having honest communication. In a fluid business environment, challenges may happen on any project, but these challenges can be mitigated when we have a client relationship built upon trust and honesty.
The second element is employee culture. Historically, success has often been measured by pay scale. While employee compensation is undeniably important, we believe true fulfillment comes from team members who are deeply engaged in our company's vision, have meaning and purpose in their work, and feel truly valued. At The Crown Moulding and Decorative Trim Company, our philosophy echoes Aristotle's timeless wisdom: "Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work."
